Our Process

From Clay to Form

Every piece begins in our workshop in Stockholm, where design, material, and craftsmanship come together.

The process starts with careful sketches and a deep consideration of form, proportion, and function. Clay is then selected and prepared by hand, chosen for its character and ability to hold both structure and subtle detail.

Using traditional techniques such as wheel throwing, slip casting hand building, the clay is shaped slowly and deliberately. Each movement leaves a trace of the maker’s hand, allowing the material to guide the form as much as the design itself.

After shaping, the pieces rest and dry naturally before their first firing. This bisque firing at 980°C gives the work its initial strength and stability.

Glaze is then applied by hand, bringing depth, tone, and surface character to each object. The pieces return to the kiln for a second firing at 1220°C, where heat transforms the clay and glaze into a durable, finished form.

"Variations in colour and texture are natural in handmade, artisanal products. Craftsmanship isn't about uniformity—it's about the unique imprint left by working with our hands. Each piece tells a story, making handmade products special.”
